I recommend the “Professional Solid Guitar Making School” (called also Professional Guitar Making school) to people who want to build electric instruments professionally or who perhaps want to independently create a personal instrument instead of commissioning it. The “Guitar Making Experience” course on the contrary is designed for amateurs interested in the world of guitar making, who do not they want to delve too deeply into the subject. At certain times of the year the Violin Making Experience course is offered in a group format. Finally, “Guitar Project” (the formula you find most worldwide) is the basic course you need to take to create an instrument to assemble. You learn many things, but the practical knowledge is not the same as in other courses. For all those who want to have or give an experience.

Opz. nr.1 “Guitar Making Experience” Construction through the use of a semi-finished neck 45 hours
Recommended for amateurs of lutherie, who can use limited resources and time. The hours available are 45. If you choose to take consecutive lessons, you are required to be present in Perugia for about 10 days. Experience Course in detail:
- instrument design and body design based on the purchased neck and the hardware to be mounted
- perimeter break-in and internal break-in of the body using hand router
- manual woodworking, finishing and bevels
- neck / body assembly
- Neck: mechanical assembly, new nut assembly, fret control
- Body: assembly of the bridge with respect to the neck
- Painting (one color)
- Assembly of all electronic parts, theoretical part on the operation of the wiring in the studio. Possibility to make complex schemes with humbuckers, single coils, push pull, coil tap, treble bleed, active circuits (active circuits have a supplement in the course of lutherie)
- setup with strings
Opz. nr.2 “Professional Guitar Making School” totally handcrafted construction
Recommended for amateurs of lutherie, who can take a lot of resources and time. Recommended for those who want to know this world to make it a profession. Participants will have a final qualification certificate “Electrical luthier manufacturer”
This individual course lasts at least 140-200 hours. The student will have to buy all the smaller tools necessary for the construction, while the larger machines will not be required, given the support of the Cesarini Liuteria. The course can be followed by a maximum number of two persons togheter, residence in Perugia is required if you choose to take consecutive lessons. There will be two different ways.
1 Manual construction with pantograph (course of about 200 hours)
Use of the manual pantograph, using hand-made construction templates.
2 CNC numerical control construction (about 140- 150 hours course)

Lutherie School “Guitar Project” – Online, face-to-face, during summer in group
The online individual course is very similar to course nr. 1. , but you will not create the body and there will be less hours in total for setup learning. Online the lessons will be theoretical only and you will have to proceed in the practical part in a totally autonomous way, without the support of our lutherie. The goal can be achieved through our theoretical help that you can “spend” in time of need. In fact, we give the possibility to use as you like a package of 15 hours of lessons at a cost of 750.00 euros. The lesson must have a minimum duration of 1 hour and a maximum of two hours, up to 15 hours. You can obviously add some recovery hours.
The in-person course in Liuteria Cesarini has a slightly higher cost (850.00 euros), but allows you to save on all the necessary tools, given that you will find them in our luthier’s shop.
The built guitar remains in your hand, the materials to make it (to be added to the cost) can cost from 550.00 to 850.00 euros, depending on what you choose to use.
At some times of the year the course is organized in groups with Italian and foreign people, taking another name “Umbria Experience, Making Guitar Course“, lessons will be done in english. The group course costs significantly less and requires you to stay near Perugia for around 7-8 days.
