This is a constructive fail on Fender’s building, that is quite serious
The use of resonant winding cords (bronze or phosphor bronze) actually requires a smaller distance between the rope and the magnet. In this guitar this distance is too much (over 20mm), preventing the output signal from having attack and volume.
