Born in 1984, Federico Galieni attended the Conservatory of Music "Francesco Morlacchi" of Perugia. He continued his musical studies privately under the guidance of Prof. Paola Besutti (professor at the Musical Institute "O. Vecchi" of Modena) and received his degree in violin (as a private student) at the Conservatory Stat. Music "G.B.Martini" in Bologna in September 2003.

2006: 2nd prize at the "Dino Caravita" of Fusignano (RA)
2006: 2nd prize at the exhibition "Etruscan Riviera" of Piombino (Livorno) and 3rd prize in the "Mastrandrea" competition of Piombino (Livorno)
2009: winner of the "Vincenzo Boccabianca" Cupra Marittima (Ascoli Piceno)
2012: 3rd prize in the "City of Riccione" - Riccione (RI)
2012: 1st prize in the competition "Val di Sole" of Dimaro (TN)
2013: 2nd prize at the "City of Piove di Sacco" - Piove di Sacco (PD)
2013: 3rd prize at the "L. Zanuccoli" - Sogliano al Rubicone (FC)
From 2005 to 2008 he was a member of the Youth Orchestra "Luigi Cherubini" (directed by Maestro Riccardo Muti) and has collaborated with various orchestras including the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, the Marche Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra Città Aperta, the Orchestra of the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio in Parma, the Opera Orchestra of Parma, the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Orchestra Sinfonica di Pescara (in this orchestra he played the first violin in years 2008, 2009 and 2010). Currently he is a member of Imola Chamber Orchestra.
In 2005 he was a finalist at the EUYO selection in Rome. In 2006 he attended a masterclass held by Pierre Amoyal in Portogruaro (Venice). In 2008 he attended an advanced course with Ilya Grubert at the Music Academy of Pescara. In 2009 he attended a masterclass held by Sergeji Krylov at the Music Academy of Pescara.
After having completed a year in Zurich at the "Zuercher Hochschule der Kunste" (University of Zurich) with Rudolf Koelman, he is currently a student of Maestro Oleksandr Semchuk at the Academy "Incontri col Maestro" in Imola, where he also attended masterclasses of Boris Belkin and Pierre Amoyal.
