Liuteria Cesarini is proud to present the "C-Tele", an exclusive piece conceived together with the artista Stefano Mincone. The search for funky sounds within a standard jazz led him to look for something different. The choice of a telecaster model, revisited in some of its dimensions, was surely due to its elegance (appearance and sound) and comfort. It’s very simple (I would say effective!): few controls - two pickups with unique sounds, placed in positions along the tuning fork. An instrument that has ample room for a modern artist’s expressiveness. The C-Tele was born as a solid body (body + top, European Ash), but with a strong presence of tonal chambers. This gives it sustain, and smoothness of tone.
The "Tele-style" Gotoh bridge is placed on a top made of european ash which is fine and very hard, therefore with a high sound response. The neck is made of flamed maple. If we want a "vibrant" neck, its specific weight must not be too far from that of the body, so that we have a guitar resounding at its maximum. As you probably well understand, the instrument is thought to 360 degrees. The rest of the hardware is highly selected and ensures extreme precision during the tuning procedure.
Two words also for this beautiful set of "Golden Age pickups", that recall the legendary tone of the '50s. With these pickups the typical twang sound becomes an added value, well used in many situations: they don’t produce an exaggerated feedback and are not shrill (too many medium-high) as certain pickups mounted on modern Telecaster. "Black Relic" is the look, with elegant antique taste. It doesn’t want to be a "reissue" of any model, so it has its own unique dimension. A distinctive sign is given by the "end fret" (the keyboard ends with a key, no wood), which aesthetically characterizes it even more.
