Alex Lofoco is well known as freelance musician and teacher, currently residing in London, United Kingdom. Born in Rome, he began his musical training at an early age studying the piano.
At seventeen, bewitched by the scratchy rhythm of Steve Harris, bassist of Iron Maiden, he then became interested in the 'instrument with the big chords', bewitched by its sound and its rhythmic characteristics. His enterprising character, open to any kind of project, urged him to play with many local bands, refining his style and emphasizing his technical skills.
In 2008 he decided to move to London. He attended a degree course at the London College of Music and in 2012 gained a degree with honors in Popolar Music Performance - BMus (Hons). The London-based mentality and experience acquired playing in various groups in London made him to be more and more of an artist at all levels, and it is during his years in college that a new career path began for him. His master class on electric bass's advanced techniques drew the attention of other world-renowned colleges, such as the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, the University ICMP and Tech Music School in London, who did not hesitate to make him a rising star of the London music scene.
Magazines such as 'Guitar', 'Bass Musician Magazine' and 'Jazzitalia' write articles about him and his career. He performs in international fairs and music shows such as NAMM, the Frankfurt Musikmesse, the Euro Bass Day and the London Bass Guitar Show, representing the leading manufacturers of musical instruments in the world.

'...First lesson begins right away from a major name for the history of the instrument, Jaco Pastorius. "To play many licks drawn from the vocabulary of Jaco Pastorius I use a combination of two notes per string, which I assimilate to a double rake concept..."' - Music Off.
